I received a PCN in Aldi in November from UKPC.
The store didn't want to know about cancelling the charge despite the fact we had proof (ie a receipt) to show we were customers of the store.
I used the template appeal letter on here (can't post the link but the URL ends with thread number 4816822)
and sent off via normal post but with proof of posting as advised. This was on Dec 1. Today (Dec 20) I received a letter from UKPC saying the charge had been cancelled.
THANK YOU so much to the many people who have provided this information here. It DOES work.
My advice to anyone who receives one of these spurious charges is to always appeal and follow to the letter the instructions on here.
It Really does work.
Happy Xmas everyone
