Or the OP should get the money and pay it if he doesn't want to appeal. But the amount won't go up as we know, as long as he doesn't ignore it, and even if the OP loses at adjudication the amount of the PCN is the only sum payable, which is why I told him I would appeal it.
Seems a bit daft to me to get £70 or whatever from the friend, then just pay it, when the OP could get £70 or whatever, appeal the thing risk free, knowing he has the money to pay the £70 if the adjudication is unsuccessful. Why line the Council's pockets just so they can impose on the town, yet more bus lanes etc?Just a question... what is the maximum amount this ticket could reach? Just so I can tell my friend that if it isn't paid this is what I could be potentially paying

They help almost everyone win any appeal, and if you have the PCN sum already handed over to you by the friend, then it is risk free for you to try adjudication.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

But is it? On what grounds could he appeal? In any event, why should he? Why should anyone wish to help a banned driver save a few quid by wasting Council Tax payers' money on an appeal.
Banned drivers are uninsured drivers, if they kill or maim someone, if they damage property, who pays? All o us through increased premiums.
Your moral compass appears to require recalibration. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
