Bahamas

Hi Members,

I am travelling to Bahamas for the first time in January?

Do I need to take any vaccination?

Also my travel insurance has run out? Is that mandatory?

Many thanks.

Insurance is not mandatory but you need to weigh up the risk of what you stand to lose in a situation where it was needed v's the policy premium

cancelling in advance...say you break your leg 2 days before travel, how much would you get back (maybe some airline taxes) so how much would you lose?
ill on holiday and need to see a doctor, how much would this cost you?
need to change return flight due to tragedy at home, price up a last minute one way flight?

I would not even consider travelling with no insurance

    Ask your GP.

It is recommended that you consult with your General Practitioner or Practice Nurse 6-8 weeks in advance of travel

As you have less time than that, you can only hope that you don't need any that must be given weeks in advance
