Can I use Dulux Supermatt as a top coat?

I'm in the process of doing the mistcoat on my newly plastered lounge. I'm using Dulux Trade Supermatt so am following the instructions about watering it down etc.

I'm using Magnolia. The thing is I actually just want my lounge to be that colour anyway so can I use the Supermatt for the final top coat or do I need to buy a separate Vinyl Matt top coat.

Someone mentioned to me that Supermatt dries quite chalky and isn't washable. Does that mean it won't be very practical for a family household with 2 messy kids!!??

Supermatt is the best paint there is for new plaster,but it hasnt the wear factor that the vinyl has.
So perhaps its best to put your miscoat on with S/M, then perhaps another good coat, and just use the vinyl matt for the actual top coat, which is better for kids and pets etc, but saying that, even if you wiped it, your still going to see the dull mark where you have wiped.
So the best paint for wiping of marks and not showing any dullness, is dulux 'real life', and they do it in Mag, and TBH, I think its about a pound or two dearer than the vinyl matt, but its excellent stuff, and really does what it says on the tin.:D

I was looking for the real life paint the other day and couldn't find any. I have just googled it and found out that it has been re-branded as "endurance" That probably explains why I couldn't find any!!!

Thanks for the info LS, I didnt know it had changed, it has been about 3 or 4 months since I last used it, but the client bought it, so dont know how long they had it for.

I think the new name suits the product very well.:D
