G24 Parked outside a Marked bay…

  • Thanks for the advice everybody, even if it is slightly conflicting regarding the effort of bothering with the IPC. I'll have some christmas cheer and have a think which way to jump, but it's unlikely to make much difference either way. I don't believe it would ever go to court as it's such a trumped up 'charge', I mean, 1 wheel half over a white line into a dead space?! Really! Thinking about it, if G24 pursued it, they would be nuts. I've driven to the car park since, and looking around, they probably rake in several thousand ££ everyday; my claim can't be worth the effort. But I'll post the next instalment...

Agreed - I would sit it out. G24 have never been litigious before and I expect most non-court 'savvy' Parking firms will be in limbo, they will no doubt 'wait and see' over the outcome of Parking Eye v Beavis in Feb 2015 - so watch that space, which will be reported on here).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I'm wondering what the general consensus is regarding court action, now that the parking eye vs beavis came back with such a poor result. Is this the starting gun for these parking companies to have a go and take everyone to court (Im sure the small courts would love that!)? I'm now on the debt recovery mailing list (sigh), but wondering if they may actually now take it further.

hard to say, but as some court cases are already being stayed due to the Beavis appeal to the Supreme Court , then does it really matter ?

I know I would be asking for a stay until the Beavis case is over with, if it were me, plus parking prankster said this on his recent blogs

I doubt that G24 will try court cases though

It is still a costly exercise for them and mugs who pay up are much easier pickings. But who knows what may happen.

Don't forget that Beavis isn't over yet.
