Have I just wrecked my 0% rate on my barclaycard?

Mrtight - sounds interesting, I'd love to be able to just pay the £30 but don't see how that's possible, surely I can't direct payment at the £30 spend. I transferred 2 separate cards with a total of £4K and I'm afraid cutting the card up wouldn't have helped in this case, Online store had my CC stored and didn't even give me a chance to review. Literally clicked buy and within seconds "Payment Confirmed" 0 0

Was this an existing customer BT offer, ie it isn't a new card?
Even if I can Force payment through there's no guarantee that it won't just go towards paying the BT off or will it?
Been a customer for a few years, never missed a payment or gone over my limit and this was an existing customer offer.0

You'd need to check your account T&Cs to see if they only allocate payments to statemented transactions (rather than to transactions yet to appear on a statement). If they do, then you'll need to wait until your next statement is generated.Even if I can Force payment through there's no guarantee that it won't just go towards paying the BT off or will it?
Note: A statement is not the same as the list of recent transactions in your online area!0

My BC T&C just say 'to reduce higher interest balances'.YorkshireBoy wrote: »You'd need to check your account T&Cs to see if they only allocate payments to statemented transactions (rather than to transactions yet to appear on a statement).0

grumbler - They won't let me pay just £31 at as to be minimum payment of £90
thegrind - after reading your comment a couple of times I think I understand! So basically barclaycard will take minimum payment of £90 and out of that it will pay off the £30 I just spent and the rest will come off the BT. So no interest added for the £30?
I have Barclaycard Platinum and the direct debit has been setup for the minimum amount. For testing sake, I just now made a £10 payment, much less than the minimum amount, which actually went through. You have to go to Payments and then pay under "This much".SPC 08 - #452 - £415

seems to me that £90min payment is for the balance transfer. Must pay that or you will losse your 0% deal. You then could always phone them and pay that £30, but I'm sure you haven't been billed for your £30 yet you have upto 56 days interest free depending how close to your bill date. So I would wait till your next bill.0

Simplest way is to phone them and explain what's happened and ask them how to deal with it. I suspect they will quite happily take your £30 payment by debit card or whatever over the phone.
Speak to them and you will get the correct answer rather than some of the guesses on here.0

You can also use their Messaging Service which you can find when you are logged into your Barclaycard account. They usually reply within 24 hours (my experience). Just ask what the minimum payment of £90 covers and when you have to make a payment of £30 to avoid any interest.SPC 08 - #452 - £415
