if you're getting no calls about it, then it might be because the price is too high? try finding similar models and pricing yours halfway between the highest and lowest of those. Also make sure it has a decent length of mot.
You should get a decent enough price in autotrader - probably half way between 'retail' and 'trade' prices. i've seen cars selling on ebay for £800 below trade, so it might not be the best place to sell...
Hope this helps

Hi Medical - pm with details of your car - make/model/year,mileage, history, last service, MOT and how much you want for it. I'm in the trade and may be interested in taking if off your hands or know someone. Ebay as a rule of thumb isn't great for getting decent money for your caR - everyone wants a bargain on ebay - unless it's somethings abit different.

Try www.parkers.co.uk for an approximate valuation of your car, you could always ask a dealership what it's worth, make sure they give you the private sale price not a part ex price (it's much lower)2p off is still 2p off!0

In my experience autotrader is full of just car dealers now, mainly because its so expensive. Most people selling private cars on ebay or through local free adds papers.
The price the cars go for on ebay is what they are worth. And all the cars ive looked at will go for the same as they will anywhere else, sometimes even more if its a cheaper car!!!0 -

Everyone wants a bargin but a huge amount of people just want to win the auction and "get one over another bidder". Therefore they will pay well over the odds. In most of the auctions ive looked at items will very often sell for more than they are new. With cars ive been looking at recently, they have all sold for well more than they were really worth.0 -
Really? I still see hundreds of small ads for cars in autotrader and a good percentage are private sellers, not sure what it is in your area but £60 for a two week slot with an ad on autotrader.co.uk for free for a fortnight too doesn't seem expensive to me - particularly when you take it as a percentage of the value of a typical car? I'd be interested to hear what the fees would be on ebay for say a car that sold for £5000?
i think its common for small items to sell for sometimes crazy money on ebay - particularly if something is not readily available throughout the country - but personally i'd steer clear of ebay if i was medical - i think its best to cut your teeth on smaller items for sale there first rather than jump in with a large items. There are too many scammers and time wasters there to catch the unwary....0
