KB915517 definition update for windows defender

Looked at my windows updates today and noticed the above had failed to update,on looking further down the list I noticed it had installed on one occasion but failed on several more dates to install,why is this can anyone tell me please.

if you look closer at the definition ID, even though it's the same KB number, they've released 3 or 4 definitions under the same KB number
