Hi
I have a ccj for 719 that I thought was from December 2008 so was expecting it to drop off anytime now. I've just looked at my credit report and it seems the ccj is dated July 2009. We have just received an aip from natwest and I have taken out 2 credit cards in the last 2 years one which I pay much more than minimum payment each month and one which is a balance transfer which I pay just over the minimum. What impact does a ccj that old have on your credit rating? What are the chances that a full mortgage application will be turned down?
Thanks

If you have been poking around doing credit searches, it will now be flagged as searched and tied up to any new details you gave the credit search company.
They sell this information to debt collectors.
Expect some correspondence about the ccj.I do Contracts, all day every day.0 -
The ccj is settled. It was an old debt from student days and as soon as the solicitors wrote to me I contacted them and set up a payment plan expecting it to be an iva which I believed was different from ccj but it has always shown on my report as a ccj. I was not in a position at the time to settle the debt fully so paid 80 a month I think but it was settled fully in august 2010.0

It is still likely to have some impact on any mortgage lenders decision.
Some lenders likely to consider it a significant issue, some likely to be less concerned if your credit history is all good since then.
It does not necessarily mean you cannot get a mortgage, but perhaps some lenders would decline you / offer you a higher interest rate / require a higher deposit.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
