ASDA Direct....what a MESS!!!

Asda Direct need to get their act together...I have never dealt with such an inefficient operation, with such a lack of customer service!
We have had two isssues lately...had had a bike delivered with a flat tyre and despite several phone calls have not resolved the issue and not been kept in touch with. To add insult to injury I ordered 8 things recently from Asda Direct, seven for Xmas and one for a birthday on Wednesday just gone. When I collected the parcel it contained TWO items, both the SAME...so I was short of SEVEN items. The girl on the shop floor wasn't interested and just shrugged her shoulders when I queried where my stuff was. (although I have to say when I went back yesterday the staff were very helpful..although she wasn't one of them!)
The stuff I ordered is now out of stock so I am unable to re-order so am now short of several presents.
My refund will take several days to reach my account apparently....and when I took the unwanted two items back to my local store they couldn't even process the refund as the system kept showing it hadn't been picked up!
Have made several long winded phone calls to Asda Direct, and made two requests to speak to a manager, but apparently they don't take calls, and haven't had the courtesty to respond to e-mails for them to contact me.
I have to say I am MOST unimpressed by Asda Direct's lack of customer service and amateur, ineffecient operation. It's a shame because on the whole staff at my local store are friendly, knowledgable and customer focussed.

I have paid extra for next day delivery a couple of times but it has taken much longer - not sure it connected with the fire at the Hermes depot as they do use Hermes...0

I don't know if this will help but lots of people try contacting the companies via Facebook, they usually are keen to sort it out for you then as it is bad publicity for them if you haven't already tried that. I hope you get it sorted, like you said, it's such a messy situation as it is but when you've got incompetent people dealing with it just doesn't help anybody.0

Thanks, might see if can do that. Got to be a bit careful as relative works for them in head office...though he says can't do anything about Asda Direct.0

When I had a big problem with the Asda online shopping. I found venting on social media got things sorted rather swiftly!0

I ordered a dress to be collected in store the funds have been taken from my account but I haven't received an order confirmation and its not on my orders I called their customer service and after a brief conversation had the phone put down, when I called back to speak to someone else, they said they would call me back today as my order wasn't even showing on their systems but never got a call back. can't use the forms on their website because it asks for an order number so don't know what to do especially with it being Christmas0

Like everyone else here, I agree that Asda Direct is a complete mess.
In fact, I call them "ASDA DIRECTIONLESS".
I ordered a dolls house for my 2 year old daughters Christmas - and had to endure 7 e-mails, 7 phone calls and 4 unkept promises of a call from an escalation manager.
When I finally reached an escalation manager, he didn't care about all the expense we had incurred dealing with Asda Direct (including 2 trips to the store - 14 mile round trip) and 2 weeks of continuous correspondence as well as securing another dolls house for my daughter the week before Christmas.
Asda Direct, you should be ashamed of yourselves. You are a completely useful service!!!0 -
