    Morning all

    Lovely and bright down here.

Went to a friends to drop of a pressie to be greeted by her 4 year old daughter with a red nose and antlers, who can fail to be amused.:rudolf:
I took home made cookies and was given a wonky home made decoration by them which I shall treasure.

One last fresh food shop for us to do, definitely very low key here for us.

Enjoy the weekend all, hugs to those struggling

  • Elona that is really good news about DH :j

This month is just getting worse for us :( we went out today and down a country lane we hit a huge pothole that was flooded so that nobody could see how deep it was and it took the tyre out, and when DH went to replace the tyre he found that the spare needed pumping up :( so we have to go and buy 2 new tyres tomorrow, bye bye another £100  It could have been worse if the spare had been flat and it was perdiddling down I suppose.

The bathroom and kitchen have got to be done after the pipe burst as well, I just want to cry animated-smileys-sad-021.gif

Oh well one good thing is that the washing has dried on the line, because it is a glorious day.

(((Hugs))) to Molly, Marie, Hilly, Bargainbird, tru, TTFM and anyone else who needs one

  • Afternoon all,

Last day at school/work today until 5th Jan, so it's been a noisy time and sad saying goodbye to a couple of workmates and a student :(

Still on a happier note DS2 passed his driving test this morning :) I thought he's done a silly thing by having it at 8.10am, but it appears not. Trouble is now I have lost my car to him. He took me to work and picked me up, then needed to put some more fuel in. I wonder how long it will take him to fully realise how much juicier a car is than his little moped...

Just DH and me for dinner tonight so I might make Chorizo Risotto.

    Happy Friday all :) x

busiscoming - Well done to DS!
Elona - Good to hear hubby is doing well.

Well, I made it! The end of term at last, the last week or so have been a bit of a struggle but that's probably because I am trying to do up the bedroom too. Assembly went well and my main charge was an angel!

Need to give the bedroom one last coat, presently have onion marmalade bubbling away on the stove and then relax. Take care. XX

    Well done, DS2:T

Thought we might be in for problems with Ronnie earlier - we met Tasha when we went out for our walk. You may remember I mentioned the other day Ronnie's lost all confidence with other dogs since being attacked and quite badly bitten recently, and he sat himself as close as he possibly could to my buggy and refused to budge til Tasha had gone. Luckily I know her well, and know her owner to talk to, so I told him Ronnie's situation, and he quickly moved her on. Tasha herself is very elderly and a gentle creature, so she's no threat; I just wish poor Ronnie could understand that.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Evening all. Just read a couple of pieces of good news here so well done all round.

Had an ok drive home, lots of rain and now it's very windy again. The high wind brings salt spray off the sea and it hurts when it hits the face.

New router was with the farmer so I retrieved and got it up and running in minutes so am back online. OH will do the fiddly bits later and connected the various bits and pieces (back garden bird cam is a real miss).

Woodburner on. Wine open. Feet up.

    Hope everyone is snug.

    Evening all,

Thanks for good wishes folks, am finding it very difficult to be depending on everyone, I am recovering well can manage crutches well but cant carry anything, hate being a passenger, especially when OH drives, DD2 arrives on Sunday morning for a week so will get some relief! My temper is really bad, always thought that my brother had inherited my father's but could give either of them a run for their money at present, think that I may spend more time on my own in my room to give everybody some peace! All that said, it is wonderful to have no pain.
Most things taken care of for Christmas, may try to do some wrapping tomorrow before the whirlwinds arrive on Sunday.

Bought a mixingbowl for DD4 today, was in wheelchair with bowl on my knee a young man came over to me and in an English accent asked me if I werent feeling well .....his Irish wife ran over to chastise him and apologise and we all had a nice laugh.....what has happened to the alleged lack of humour of the English? Made my day!

Need to eat soon as have to take more medication, but not on an empty stomach. Not sure what I fancy, fridge is full so there has tobe something tasty there.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend, stay safe and well, thank you all for being my friends

  • DH is a site agent and he came home today with cheeses, crackers and 3 kopparberg cider.
The teachers also had a whip round for him and he also got a gift voucher for a country pub for both of us to have a meal to the tune of £80, so will be going out to dinner in the new year :D.
Plus an art set and pad.

What a lovely Christmas present :D

Cheered me up after the tyre incident.
