glueing on a toilet roll holder

Hi we have moved home and inherited a pint sized ensuite. No room for free standing toilet roll holder now have added the loo brush holder and a tiny bin. Tiled wall and no spares so husband a bit wary of drilling. Have bought a Habitat loo roll holder (not cheap) that has the option of gluing or using screws. Have people found that glued loo roll holders stay on if glueing instructions properly followed or are they useless?
Many thanks

Yes, glue should work. Surface preparation is everything when it comes to getting the glue to stick - just make sure the tile you're gluing to is clean and that you have the appropriate glue.0

When we had our new bathroom done we just drilled through the grout in 16 months gone no problems0

I stand the loo rolls on the corner edge of the baths in my ensuite and main bathroom as they are beside the toilets. No need for any holders.
I don't use the baths very often as I have a shower cubicle too so no danger of the roll falling in the bath and getting wet.A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".0 -
You can get 'all-in-one' toilet roll and brush holders, like this one: http://www.bathroom-trends.co.uk/acatalog/Toilet-Roll-and-Brush-Holder---TOIL11-4206.html

We've just had our tiny ensuite refitted and found no obvious place for a loo roll holder. We then realised that one of the uprights on the ladder style radiator/towel rail was within easy reach and just the right size for the loo roll.
The added bonus is warm loo paper!

Sticks like !!!! glue will hold your bog roll holder very well.
My lasthouse had everything glued on when I got there, never fell off.
In my current house the bathroom sink is glued on with lots of sealant, it is not coming off.0 -
You can drill through tiles without cracking them, so long as you put masking tape over the tile before drilling and drill without the use of hammer head on the drill.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

two excellent replies, thank you very much. Will give the glue a go first.
Love the help I get on here0 -
I would not hesitate to drill the tiles i have done it loads of times without breaking a tile
use masking tape to stop the drill bit slipping when breaking the glaze, if you feel happier then buy a glass and tile drill bit but i would just us a normal masonry bit start the drill on non hammer until you break the glaze and drill through the tile then use hammer to drill the wall0
