Just received a Parking Charge notice from NPE. Quite fast really as the incident happened late Saturday night. They sent a couple of pictures of the car parked under one of their signs with us sitting in it. Can I ignore this as I do with Parking Eye tickets ?

........ especially any from ParkingEye!
If you've ignored any from PE in the past 18 months, you are likely to be having court papers served on you! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

"Likely" is a bit of an exaggeration, it's still a minority of PE ignorers who get served. Mind you, he implies that there's more than one PE fake fine, in which case the papers are probably in the post...Je suis Charlie.0 -
If you have been photographed in the car and were parked waywardly, then the PPC should have mitigated their losses by asking you to park in an approved manner. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

There's already another drive-away postal PCN case on here from the other day where it has already been covered in detail, that a PPC cannot send a PCN like this, can't get the data from the DVLA on this basis without ANPR or a windscreen ticket. PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
