Twintec vc EWT water softeners

My current Twintec water softener is 12.5 years old and stopped performing well. I called both my dealer as well as the manufacturers and they suggest they cannot repair it due to its age and suggest i buy a new one - £1,150.

I've been looking at the range of EWT which works out to £600 which is much cheaper but I'm not sure.

Does have any experience or advice they can give to help me decide which option to go for?

Thanks

Hi Jimsum, I live in harrow and the water there is very hard. I'm considering getting system aswell and would like to know if you went with either of the companies you mentioned above and which you would recommend.

Big thread on the subject of water softeners here. Started in 2007 and counting.

I invested in a budget machine, which I installed myself, based on my analysis of the helpful advice it contained. 100% satisfied I made the right choice.

    Good luck.

I talked to EW Technologies a while back and am looking at getting their 606 Gold Series installed. It comes with a 15 year parts warranty and they have quite a few testimonies on their website. Has anyone any advise before i take the plunge?
