I would think a trader would know how to obtain codes, maybe just my suspicious mind I can understand not having one or two codes but having owned many cars over the years mostly second hand I can only recollect needing radio codes once or twice and even then they have been in the service book or with the info that comes with them.
Unless they are buying old bangers it appears odd they keep asking for codes.0
