hi can any one help me with my daughters DLA claim, she was awarded low rate which though was unfair as I have had to up my job to take of her as she can not cope with school, she self harms and do no leave the house she do not eat and we have to try and get her to eat every 2 hours as she is under weight, I asked my local mp for help with getting another decision dla have said the claim was passed to the decision maker on the 1 St of dec ironed them today and was told that the claim is still being dealt with what do this mean. Thanks for any advice

It sounds like you have appealed the decision and a decision maker is reviewing the initial decision. Once they have done this they will write to you and either change the award, or forward your case to be heard at tribunal. This can all take some time, they will be in touch in due course.0

Thank you, I was told that her claim had been passed on to the case manger concerned as a priority, I do understand that there are many people in the same situation it's just a really worrying time0
