No, The landlord shouldn't sign a tenancy agreement with new tenants until the old tenants have vacated.
Which is why its common to sign the tenancy agreement on the day you move in.*Assuming you're in England or Wales.0 -
We spoke to our landlord as we needed to extend and were honest about why. They have been very decent about the whole thing and we are currently have a nice couple of weeks overlap to move into our new home. So the key is just talk to your landlord and be open you might be surprised. Good luck0
