British Gas/Electric - Claim your money back.


For those that don't know if you are way over in credit you can go online and request a payment back depending on your usage. Its takes a couple of days but we got £123 in time for Christmas!

    I think all suppliers do this. Although for some you have to call up to check the following:
    * Your account has up to date (and actual) meter readings
    * Your account actually is in credit
    * You have no pending refunds

    Any credit will then be sent to you at request. Mind you it may result in your future DD payments being increased as the DDs are calculated to get you to a credit balance at this time of year, as your next bill or even two bills are expected to be the highest of the year, and the credit now should offset against these bills as your use is expected to be higher than your payments at this time of year.

    Just something to consider.
