G24 Unreasonable Fine

Help and advise needed please!
On 3rd October I allegedly over stayed on a car park by 16 mins. On the 10th October I received a fine for £40 if paid within 14 days or £100 after that. I then wrote to G24 on 17th October stating that I would not be paying this fine as I felt it is disproportionate as it works out at £6.25 per minute. I then received a further letter from them chasing payment of £100 or they would pass it on. I again wrote to them and today I have received a final demand letter requesting £100.
Has anyone been successful if taken to court by G24, as I really do not agree with the £6.25 per min charge, when the park was only half full at that time.
Many thanks in advance.

No, G24 have never done court and would be very beatable. There was never any point trying the IAS stage appeal they probably offered you in the rejection letter. So you need do nothing at all except collect all letters and reply again here if they send an actual letter before claim or a court claim. We can help, it's perfectly winnable.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Why do you keep writing to them? They are trying to con you,. you owe them that which your dastardly deeds have cost them, nada, diddly, zilch, tell them to swivel or appeal and cost them money. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
