Ccj and equitable charge

In 2010 I was given a ccj for an equitable charge on my house. When the house was sold it wasn't worth much more than the mortgage. Therefore I asked the charge owner to remove it so it could be cleared which they did. What I am not clear on is what should have happened to the ccj? Obviously the debt became unsecured but what is the state of the ccj

The CCJ still exists and if unpaid still remains payable.

  • Ok thanks I wasn't sure if the ccj was just for the order or it was for the debt.
