Where to go in Feb

Hi to all, I'm after any recommendations that anyone has for a holiday in Feb. We're not massive package holiday buffs, i've only been to Tenerife this Feb and loved it, so thinking of just going back there but then maybe there is somewhere equally as good if not better.

We enjoy something to do on Holiday and some night life too.

oh and when am I better booking it, waiting until after Xmas??

I was going to suggest Tenerife actually. :rotfl:
  • How long would you go for? What's your budget?

Had many Feb\March holidays in Lanzarote\Gran Canaria\ Tenerife we have always had good weather luckily, the weeks before we went had cool rainy weather the last few years we went there.
last year and this year we ventured further, Dominican Republic and this year Jamaica brilliant holidays lots to do, weather spot on
but as above it depends on budget and how long you want to go for, how long a flight do you want?
  • Thanks for the responses, I don;t really want to be too far away from home, my Dad's recently been diagnosed with MND so I would like to be home within a reasonable length of time so Dominican and Jamaica are too far.

I do want something to do or look at whilst we are away though, which of the canaries are best for this?

all the canaries offer different in my opinion.
what other interests do you have
Lanzarote has timanfaya . puerto del carmen is the liveliest resort, waverider, submarine trips camel rides depending on your interests.
Gran Canaria we stay Playa del Ingles plenty of nightlife but more low key in Feb. Palmitos Park, Wild West town, where a lot of famous western films were made.Camel rides through the sand dunes.

We've stayed a few times at Costa Adeje which is relatively quiet and is quite upmarket. there are some lovely walks, good beaches, good transport and there's a free bus to Siam Park .... Which is a brilliant water park with everything you could think of to occupy you for a day easily.

Go just one hour flight further down and you are in the Cape Verde Islands. The beaches are stunning and you can add a good 5 if not 10 degrees to the Canary Islands in February and no rain at all. It does come with a higher price though.

I am in Egypt now for Christmas. The weather is fantastic at the moment. We have been here in February and it could be quite chilly in the wind and cold at night. Better than the Canaries though.

High quality hotels but do your research. Fantastic value for money.
