Neighbours of new tenants!!

After reading all these posts, and having suffered from "chavvy" neighbours myself, it makes me angry that there are SO many people that have to put up with antisocial behaviour, and yet it's really hard to get anything done about it.
Maybe it's about time the police stopped concentrating on speeding fines and parking tickets, and started taking nuisance neighbours and antisocial behaviour seriously?!
I had a brick thrown through my car windscreen, and jumped up straight away to see this group of 7 kids (aged 16 to 18 ish) standing beside it laughing. I called the police, who then stopped the group about 1/2 mile away and lined them up at the side of the road. I knew damn well that ONE of them threw the brick, but because I couldn't say exactly which one, the police couldn't do anything. The police were great, but had no power to do anything, because the little chavs "knew their rights..."
sigh.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
its not the police who have legal jurisdiction about noise and anti social (rather than criminal) behaviour, its the Environmental health.0
