Any hints and tips?
I am new here myself, so have little advice to offer other than to keep reading!
I know it's getting a little long now so will take a while, but I started by reading through this entire thread and writing down all the websites etc mentioned and giving them a go. Everyone's experiences are different - I personally have done quite well from Swagbucks but I know some people don't like it whilst on the flip side, I have made nothing out of Neobux yet some make quite a good profit from it.
I have also been spending far more carefully so I can claim credit for discounts/reduced spending.
You would be surprised at how it adds up.
I keep track using a pretty nifty little app called Saving Made Easy - as well as telling you how much you have left to go, it gives a total per day in order to hit target. For example, mine is currently telling me I need to make £6 a day.
Good luck to you!0 -
I've finished the challenge for the year now. I've mostly made my money from tasks/survey sites/focus groups. A few other bits and bobs along the way. Hoping to smash last years target.
I will keep an eye on the thread as I enjoy reading about how everyone is doingThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Sorry, I forgot to update here for a bit! I have another £10 from Shop and Scan, £30 from surveys, and I finally remembered to cash out Clixsense for £33.56. I think I might have a couple more survey sites I can cash out from, but I won't add them here till I actually have the money.
Still nowhere near the target, though. I too would love to know how you did it, Katy! So impressed that you finished so quickly! :beer:0 -

Thanks VisionThing, good luck to you too!
Have spent so much time reading through these forums over the last few days. I have already sorted out a way to finally pay off my OD, have shaved £100 off my car ins quote by ringing them and got a couple of freebies to boot!0 -

Well done on getting a good insurance deal! It's a great feeling isn't it.
I sold a few pairs of my handmade earrings today. After years of giving them away, it's the first time I have sold them - pretty scary, I have to say. I am really worried they may break or something!
Anyway, at-the-till savings on my groceries of £2.35 and sales of £12.
Total is now £152.88.0 -
Hi everyone,
A little late but I like to join please. I have £2k in debts and want to clear these asap. All money I get extra will be going off these. I am making payments as well so once debt clear and extra will go towards saving.
So to start me off I just received £10.55 from gas company so that's going in the pot. Going to clear out my dvd collection as no longer watch them, can get about £40 from likes off music magpie but will list on book selling pages first to see if I can sell a couple for a little more too. Hopefully list one or two items on eBay tonight as well. I have a penny jar of all pennies found out and about, will cash up at every £5 (think I may be there). Also may be doing a little o/t tonight.
Think doing this will motivate me and help clear debt a lot quicker xxDebt Remaing £315 :jBreath out the past, Breath in the futureBig Dreams Start Small0
