Half A Percent? Views from ACTUAL users?

Hi there

Just wondered whether anyone out there has used Half A Percent to sell their home in London. It seems to me they have a very sound proposition and their pricing structure is sensible given that most enquiries come through the Internet in any case.

The main hurdle for most is the viewings, but I work from home, therefore arranging these would not be a problem for me.

Has anyone tried their service?

Kind regards

    Hi John

I have previously used them to sell a flat in Primrose Hill. Unfortunately, I found them to be a complete waste of time.

At least I had the flat for sale with them for 8months. Took it off and put it on the market with an agent in Parkway, and it sold in a week!

My opinion is its not worth the potential money saved. At the time I asked people I knew who lived in London if they had heard of them, and no one had. So if that is a representation of the London population then that could well be why it didnt sell. If no one knows about the site, then how can you find a buyer.

If I were you, I would go for a traditional agent and negotiate with them to reduce their fee's as much as poss. Play one against the other and they generally do. I paid 1% commission in the end, even though they all told me 2%!

my friend had her flat on with them but removed it for the same reason as above, all there feed back was through the internet and only asked was it a fair price ,what was the condition of the property, they don't do follow up phone calls so she never knew what buyers actualy thought of her property, and she said that buyers that did come to visit told her it took a while to arrange viewings, she put it on with a local agent and it sold in 2 weeks
  • Hi

Thanks for your replies. Just a quick further question - did either / both of you choose to do the viewings yourselves, or have Half a Percent do them?

    Cheers
