Is this a new thing to keep the customer informed?
Was on DLA (have been for many years) not being asked to apply for pip this time (or yet), thought it was a nice thing, saves the worry of did the form actually get there lol

They've been doing this for some time. We had one recently.
I guess it saves people glogging p the phone lines asking if the DWP have rec'd their forms.0 -
Wouldn't want people clogging up the lines to enquire, when it's only been a year since the application.0

Anyone reclaiming DLA know what timescales they are working on.Award doesn't finish till April, but you know how it is

DWP/JOB CENTRE PLUS Have been doing this for ages they do it at the start of an award when they recive any paperwork and when your first payment goes into the bank0
-
they used to do it by letter0
-
Received the award today only for two years rather than three like the last time, PIP isn't here yet0

I am very confused because I know someone who is on DLA for a few years, her condition is deteriorating further. The award runs out about now, does she need to call someone or re-apply? she has no idea and I don't know what to tell her.
Any help, advice most appreciated.

She needs to call them and find out her award end date and take it from there.0
