Robin Hood Airport PCN

Hi.
I received a PCN from RH Airport in November for stopping in a roadway where prohibited. Another person had used my car and the photo was actually at the end of an offshoot road that led no where next to some roadworks at 11pm at night for less than a few minutes for (sorry) a 'comfort break'. There were no visible signs and hence why when 'I' received the charge I was furious. Having read the newbie post I sent a letter to VCS using the superb template as this was very relevant to the case as I was not the driver and I received back a letter from VCS rejecting my claim asking for the main driver details and if I didn't supply them they would assume me as the driver. I have not appealed yet to IAS as the advice on here almost suggests this is pointless and I am unsure what to put in he appeal that is different to the template in the Newbie thread. I have today received a 'Liability Notice' advising me I am liable for the full £100 charge. Advice please as I cannot really afford £100 and feel it is not justified

it isnt, but they have 6 years to harass you for payment of this speculative invoice and will do so
so it appears that as popla is no longer involved you will have to ride out the storm and only deal with any LBC or MCOL in the future
the IAS is a waste of time in most cases0 -
Thank you for the reply. Lets just say the driver is quite happy to ride out the storm, however I am a bit concerned about it. Should I gather any more evidence whilst still 'fresh' prior to ignoring, just in case the issue goes to court?0

If the case goes to court, they can not pursue the keeper only the driver and as POFA does not apply at airport land, you do not have to tell them or any district judge who was driving, in fact it is not unheard of for judges to remind you of that right.I do Contracts, all day every day.0

Thanks for the post. I will keep the letters and my initial response. I did wonder whether to post a claim on the IAS site stating POFA 2012 and the fact I am the keeper, not the driver at the time of the incident and I do not legally have to declare the driver. Is this worth doing simply to back up a future case?0

Just to update, I had the threat escalated to 'Wright Hassell' solicitors suggesting they would recommend escalating to a CCJ. I used the forum to find similar issues with Wright Hassell and complained, along with a robust reason for the way I felt the charges were not valid (see Wright Hassell). I receved a letter back saying they have passed my case back to ZZp and would not be pursuing. 3 weeks have now passed with no further response from ZZP or VCS, so I may have finally fought the battle and won. No letter confirming the charge dropped, but I will keep everyone posted.0
