Appeal late or keep quiet?

Advice needed please - sorry I have read the stickies but still confused! Not sure what to do - I received a PCN from Highview Parking for overstaying by 13 minutes at sports direct in August. I appealed using template letter from here stating I was not the driver and that the £85 charge was excessive for 13 minutes. That appeal was rejected and I was given a POPLA code. However I then took it no further as I hoped that would be the end of it and did not realise about the 28 day deadline. Consequently I have missed the POPLA deadline and have had 2 letter's from Debt recovery plus threatening court action and demanding £149.99. Do I try now to appeal to POPLA? or appeal to DRP? or sit tight and hope it goes away again?! I read something about not drawing attention to myself now it's too late to appeal. Just getting a bit worried now. Any advice appreciated, thanks.

too late to appeal due to your inaction
you will have to ride out DRP for 6 years now, and only deal with this if HIGHVIEW issue an LBC or an MCOL (LIKE THE NEWBIES STICKY THREAD SAYS)
would have been an easy win at popla, but you only had 28 days for that golden ticket to freedom and a hassle free future, too late now
if it wasnt a windscreen ticket but a postal one, you could name the driver and start that process of the driver appealing to popla, in their own name after they get a pcn
shame you didnt use the popla code in the beginning though
ps:- DRP are not threatening court action, they are threatening to inform the creditor to take out court action (totally different)
DRP do not consider appeals so a waste of time and effort trying that
DRP cannot take you to court, only the creditor can do this
popla dont accept late appeals unless there were extremely mitigating circumstances as to why its late0 -
OK. 6 years
I might just pay the damn thing. My husband was driving, will my case be written off if I name him? Who would I name him to?

you send the drivers details to the parking company, absolving you as RK from any future harassment or court case (there are dozens of examples of this letter on here in various threads)
then the driver gets a pcn and then appeals to popla instead of you as RK (with less appeal points however) , but no hanging around this secont time around, no delays or tardiness
this is providing NO windscreen ticket was issued at the time, so anpr postal pcn only
this is the "resetting the clock" part of that sticky thread (you did read it again I hope ?)
only a fool would pay this speculative invoice, I hope you are not one, as I doubt that you are one0 -
Not a fool just having a bit of a wobble! Not a windscreen ticket so this may be the way forward. Hopefully still grounds to appeal the amount charged for the time overstayed. Will try contacting sports direct too. Thanks again.0

I would do the same, dont wobble, its only an invoice, which in most cases are unjust and unjustified
take the second chance offer using the driver, beat them at popla and you will pay nothing and have a smug grin on your face too
in future, appeal, and use popla if its offered , promptly0
