ParkingEye Bury Tesco

Hi, firstly thanks to all for such a helpful site I have found the sticky threads most useful. We received through the post a 'PCN' from parkingeye for overstaying in Tesco free carpark, Bury. We used the template for the PPC appeal, trimmed it down to be less than 3000 characters and submitted.

THe only confirmation we received was 'Thankyou for contacting ParkingEye, we acknowledge receipt of the appeal'. Thing is there is no reference number indicated, neither has an email confirmation been sent. Is this normal?

Should we send the appeal through the post too, with proof of posting?

  • The latest pattern with parking eye is that they cave in when they see a decent forum based challenge which is what you have done. You may receive a reminder letter from them but then hopefully following on from that they will inform you the scam invoice is be cancelled. If not then win through POPLA
  • And let Rochelle Bailey and Chris Grigg at British Land know your feelings on the matter. Rochelle is the one who brought PE in to 'manage' the site . You will get a response,and she does offer to have the tickets cancelled...

    I have made my feelings about PE known to them both, and have informed Bury Council about the lack of planning permission for the camera systems.

    Do get a letter into the Bury Times as well - they've stopped printing any of mine.

    So today we received an email from Parkingeye to say the parking charge has been cancelled. This was after we emailed the standard template to PE. THanks to all for the help & great site:j:T
