Ukcpm carpark management

I would like to thank all the subscribers to the UKCPM CARPARK MANAGEMENT threads for giving sound advice taking the stress out of what could have been a very stressful situation.
Until my husband and I had received a PCN through the post we were neither aware that we had breached any parking conditions or heard of this company before . The term' self-ticketing' was a complete mystery to us.
I immediately wrote to an appeal to CPM. I first objected to the wording 'reminder' which had been used when this was their first contact and therefore not a fair practice to start with. The other reasons My husband had only pulled over momentarily to make a drop he had not parked there and besides there was no CPM signage at the time of the incident. The signage appeared a couple days later . I thought I had raised good grounds for an appeal but I did not give much hope that we would win at this stage but my husband and I decided even if Popla did not unhold our appeal we would rather be taken to court and have our say than pay the parking charge directly to this company . The appeal was declined which was not unexpected having read reviews .I think if I had not read the reviews I may have relented and paid up rather than put myself through the stress of what happens if my appeal failed at Popla . I rang the landlord of the property to complain about the shoddy practice only to discover that the Landlord didn't even know who this company was who making claims to managing their residential car park .The Landlord thought it could be a disgruntled permit holder who has taken to policing the residential car park . If you look on CPM's website under enforcement you will see images of the shoddy practice I speaking about 'Self-ticketting' . I appealed to Popla and this time the appeal was upheld and to astonishment one of the reasons why my appeal was upheld was that CPM had not even bothered to send their evidence in !

Well done for sorting it out - now how about a complaint to the BPA - attaching letters & info that shows you had a PCN so are not just a one of us armchair lawyers! - saying that you have found out that UKCPM have not got the authority of the landowner so should be refunding every ticket and should surely be severely sanctioned by the BPA?

    email addy for your complaint:
