Lost interest in computers. If you go to their place your there hours waiting for scans to run. If you take it home they want it back 1/2 an hour later.

I used to do it. Never again. Far too much hassle for little return0 -
I do the odd job for people I know and trust. The last one was resetting all the passwords on a (then) workmate's Windows 7 desktop. Luckily, we were able to kook it up to the monitor, keyboard and mouse on one of the 2 PCs used to transfer CNC files across to a punching machine & the whole job took less than 3 minutes.
I charged him the price of a drink, so he brought me in a 12 pack of fruit cider, which was very much welcome.Never Knowingly Understood.

I work in "IT" which seems to be a indicator to friends and relatives that I can repair anything with a plug. I used to help them with their IT problems but now direct them to either google or youtube as I got sick of people saying "i started following your steps, but did something different now my computer won't boot up and I need to book a flight or send an urgent file help"0 -
Keep away from home users - very demanding, rarely adequately protect themselves (hence another infection!). Best keep to business only customers....0
