Updated my drivers & now my laptop can't detect my tv

Hi, I hope one of you could help me (i've tried googling it but still can't get it to work).

I updated all my drivers last night as my laptop is 3 years old but now I can't watch my shows on the tv any more using a HDMI lead.
It was showing 2 monitor's before but now it's only showing 1 & when I click on detect it say's it can't detect another one. I've tried unrolling the driver but that didn't work either. I'm sure that there must be something I can do but i'm not every technical & would really appreciate the help. Thanks in advance.

System restore to before you updated your drivers might work.

    Option 1.
Right-click on your PC desktop and select Screen resolution. See if your TV is there but "greyed out". If it is choose the option to Extend these displays in the Multiple displays droplist. The TV should then become active and you'll be able to move it, change its resolution etc.

    Option2.
Look in Device Manager for any items that look like they might be your TV. Right-click and select Uninstall (and choose any option that asks to remove the driver).

Then unplug the TV from your computer, wait a few seconds, plug it back in again and check that the driver gets reinstalled.
  • I system restored it 3 times going back further each time to no avail so then unrestored it which seems to of done the trick. :j

Thanks to everyone who took the time to reply. :A
