It will decimate the entire world economy, with the exception of co-op bank and 115k houses in manchester.0

Exports wise and we do export to Russia, it will cause manufacturing job losses here.I do Contracts, all day every day.0

Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0

Seriously it will have very little effect on the housing market.
The life expectancy chart may be going haywire though...0 -
Not much really, we export relatively little to Russia, the major effects will be felt by the german economy which exports a lot to Russia. This may cause continued weakness in the Eurozone slowing our recovery and hence keeping rates lower for longer.
The bigger issue is what happens in the Greek general election, this could cause chaos in the Eurozone if a newly elected left wing party actually does what it says. Could lead to deflation and falling house prices. Just google japan and the lost decade.0 -
It could cause prices to rise. As the rich Russians invest in UK property to keep money safe0

I'd imagine capital controls will be introduced shortly to prevent further exodus of cash.
There's some decent rolling coverage of this in global context on the Daily Telegraph website at the moment.0 -
There should be less Russian Tourists around the world in future, which can only be a good thing.0
