You need to export them, copy them to your new PC and import them. For example in Firefox 2 you would use menu option Bookmarks..Organise bookmarks to see the Bookmarks Manager window. Then on that window, use menu option File..Export.
Choose to export the file "bookmarks.html" to somewhere convienient, then copy this to you new PC. On the new PC, open the Bookmarks Manager and then use File..Import to import your old bookmarks.
A similar process works with bookmarks in Netscape Navigator, but the menu options will be a bit different.0 -
if your talking internet explorer favourites just copy them off the old pc and on to the new one.
open my computer, local disk c: documents and settings (the current username in use) and just copy the favourites folder from there to a CD, usb memory stick what ever you have to hand. while your there you could copy your my documents folder as well0 -
Yup, was just gonna say what Little John advised - this is the easiest way... I always back-up my favourites along with my documents as it is a nightmare if you lose them...0

Thanks for your help everyone, I will have a go and see what happens, fingers crossed, haven't really got a clue when it comes to this sort of thing!
Thanks again.0 -
I use Foxmarks which is an addon for Firefox, it keeps a copy of your bookmarks on a remote site and can synchronise them when they are updated etc.
