Our box is on the way out. We have had problems with it powering up. This sounds like a common issue.
The box is within the warrantee but I would stand to lose my my programmes. Over the years I have lost too many this way. I would like to back up the programmes so if it does die I have not lost them. Searches mention a maintaince mode but I am unsure if this is when a box freezes.
There seems to be suggestions that a box can be backed up but will only play on the original player which would not really help if I got a replacement.
I have also read that Humax boxes can be backed up via a network but I am not sure if this is the more recent models.
Can anyone let me know if it is possible to back up please?

I have downloaded programmes to a usb stick to play and that works."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
