Hi,
Just moved into a new home (4 bed semi) and after being here a month I have used 272 cubic metres of gas since 11th November.
I'm thinking it's a bit on the high side but would like a second opinion before I start enforcing the wearing of blankets and turning down the thermostat!
What do people think?
TIA

I've used 333 cubic metres or 3698 kWh of gas in the past month with the heating on from 8 till 2300hrs.
I'm old I use it I can't stand being cold.over 73 but not over the hill.0 -
How much are you using day by day now that the fabric has been heated up?
How many zones? Every room heated up or some areas closed off with door?
£3.50 per day (at 4.2p per kWh) does not seem horrible for four bedrooms.
84 kWh per day. That is only four hours hours full blast to cover four bedrooms.
To get a meaningful idea you have to look at what you are using to maintain a temperature after the first hour or two the heating is on in the evening.0 -
Thanks for the responses.
I only just decided to check the meter, but I think I will start monitoring it more closely to see how it goes and like you say how much it is to maintain the heat once the building is warm.0
