  • Like I said speculation and also looking at average wage to average house price in London and by comparing house prices to the resession in 2007-08. With intrest rates starting to go up slowly next year and bank lending restrictions I think house prices will go down or at best stagnate. It's my uneducated guess.

    Are you planning to move in a year?

    Issue is no one really knows. I bought a house in 2007 lost 30% of the value but bounced back to make some equity on it. However I spent 7 years in it and paid 30% of the mortgage back which allowed me to move on to another house. I was never going to save that money living at home.

    Where I live I could never save enough to outweigh the increase on house prices.
