Laptop keeps freezing, but only on certain websites?

My laptop is in good health and well maintained, but recently every time I first visit particular websites it freezes for about a minute and is then fine. The sites it does it on are twitter, metro and M&S clothing. I don't know what is causing this on these sites. It only happens once and then after it has happened I can visit the site any time that day and it doesn't happen. I have run a full scan with my anti virus and everything is dandy. Help me out!

  • Hi,

Which browser are you currently using, and have you tried using a different one to see if the same problem occurs?

Try updating Adobe Flash. All of those sites use flash to display images and they're slow even on my PC.

Try eBay, the landing page displays suggestions based on your eBay search history and favourites. See how far down you can scroll before everything grinds to a halt, i'm betting it won't be far.
