Business Credit Report.

I didn't know quite where to ask this question!
I want to purchase the credit reports on a limited company. If one does this is there any trace back to the purchaser. (I don't want someone to know that I'm checking up and be noisy!)
Also does anyone know of a good company to use to purchase such report.

  • Short: No. Businesses don't exactly have credit reports. And even if they did, you couldn't legally check it without their permission.

If you're talking about a limited company, the only real "credit reports" they have is the credit reports of the company's directors.

What you can do however is pay for the annual returns from companies house. This is basically a spreadsheet showing what money was spent where, and where did it come from. But it can be pretty vague.

To be honest, if you have no real reason to look at them other than to be nosey, I wouldn't bother.
Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.

It is a limited company which I am interested in and it is not me being just noisy. There are other reasons why I'm interested.
I presume there is no trace if one decides to get a report.
    Thank for answering.

Several companies offer credit reports on Companies. Dun & Bradstreet being one. The Company concerned won't know you've made an enquiry.

Company credit profiles have been around for many years. Well before consumer ones.

pearl123 from what I know there are a lot of sources that provide business credit reports, but most of them only sell them to other businesses, not individuals.

I would use google to find some providers, and see if you can use one of their free trials.

Any specific data you are after, as anyone can buy the accounts from companies house for a small fee, if you just want the balance sheet data.
Karma is a wonderful thing. ;)
