Jobseekers Benefit

Hi all please could someone give me a bit of advice,as not had any clear advice from Jobcenter?
My wife and I are on joint income based jobseekers, with me as the main claimant. I have been suffering from high blood pressure and now I have had to have all sorts of test's as they think I could have a problem with my heart, ( I am 60).
If this turns out to be the case I will have to go on the sick, I should get ESA, but what happens to my wife, will she have to make a fresh claim for JSA, or will what I get cover here also?
Thanks for any advice,

If your doctor says that you are unfit for work and issues you a fit note then you will be eligible for ESA. You can add your wife to your claim.0
