Baumatic?

So this name keeps cropping up and I've never heard of them.

Are their appliances any good? I've been looking for AEG ones, but Baumatic are considerably cheaper.

I'm a believer of you get what you pay for, so how do they really stack up against Zanussi and AEG?

The original Baumatic company went bust last year.

IIRC I think Hotpoint bought them from the receiver. They are not the best, the fans are noisier than other makes. If you are looking for an extractor hood, Go for a better one. The more you pay, the quieter they usually are.

I have an unbranded one, bought from a wholesaler and it sounds like an easyjet flight coming into land ! lol
  • I got a Baumatic fridge/freezer two summers ago and it is fine. The price was low too.

Well we have a baumatic integral dishwasher on order. Hoping to get it this week. Paid £203 which is very cheap for an integral. Only one cheaper was currys essential which also had good reviews. As it is integral looks which not important. Our last electrolux dishwasher lasted for 12 years so very pleased with this and hope this one lasts as long.

We had an oven and hob and had to replace bits on it 3 times in 4 yrs. I found the customer service shocking.

Often the name doesn't tell you much, they can be made by anyone & re-branded. When I worked for Hotpoint we sold appliances made by half a dozen different companies, some better than others.

It says Hoover on their website so it depends if you think Hoover & Candy are good.
