Parking Eye - Pay When You Leave

This scheme - 'guess on exit' - generated charges at a rate of £1m/year and Northumbria NHS, until ParkingEye got kicked out.
By contrast 'inform-on-exit' at a different hospital run by a different parking company generated no charges for overstays.
ParkingEye would go bankrupt if they ran their systems in a way which did not entrap motorists.Dedicated to driving up standards in parking0 -
Sounds an odd way of going about things. At all of the hotels I have stayed at, the cost of parking, usually a set amount per night has been added to your bill when you leave.
I wasn't an overnight guest, although did attend a function there.
Overnight guests use the same system but pay a reduced daily rate - again I don't know how they would track this, unless they register their cars at reception.0
