Weightwatchers refund

Back in June 2014 I emailed WW to cancel my monthly subscription as I was going to work abroad till December 2014. Whilst abroad I had no access to the account the subscription had been linked to. Upon returning early December I checked my bank, only to find they had been taking out £21.45 per month still. I emailed them to ask for a full refund as the mistake was on their part as they hadn't cancelled it when requested. They have come back saying they never received an email from me, will not be refunding and cannot check my weightwatchers account to confirm I haven't used their services or attended a meeting in that time. This I cannot understand as each time you attend a meeting you have to fill in membership numbers and sign etc so why they can't check I have no idea......the thing is it's over £120 I'm out of pocket due to their incompetence. They've asked that I send them a copy of the email but I don't save emails I send / receive as I get that many......any help or advice great fully appreciated please

Did you use this form to cancel? http://www.weightwatchers.co.uk/help/cancel_viaemail.aspx
    it does state -
"We typically process all cancellation requests within 72 hours after we receive your request. We'll send you an e-mail confirming the cancellation once we've finished processing your request.
If you do not hear from us within one week, then we may not have received your request. In this event, please submit another request."
  • Hi

Yes I used that address but never received the reply......does that still stop me getting the refund? I'm sure they can check if I've used their services either in person at meetings or online.....

    Thank you in advance

Sounds fairly clean cut that if you don't get a response you haven't cancelled anything. As it wasn't cancelled the services were available to you whether you used them or not so I think you're best hoping for a gesture of goodwill from them for any part or full refund.
  • Ok thank you for yr help
