Advice Needed-Will Barclaycard let me transfer from my high interest to new 0per cent

in Credit cards
Hi, Can someone advise please. In the last year I have worked really hard on my finances so am now keen to get a card with no interest. I currently have a Barclaycard with a very high interest rate. I was able to pay that off (approx 4.5K) in full recently (apart from my overdraft and student loan it is my only debt). Currently the balance is up again at about 1.5K. I want to get a 0 per cent card and do a balance transfer but I didn't think Barclaycard would let you go from one card to another. Does anyone know their policy as it is not online. My partner seems to think they do rather than lose you. I don't want many credit searches on my file so I would rather not waste one on this. It seems like a really good offer. About 6 months ago I did an experian test and the only thing that came up was one default on a virgin bill over 2 years ago (was paid after). Other than that the things I know work against me are that I am only renting my current property for the last 2 years and have only been in my current role for 14 months.

No CC provider allows transferring balances from one their card to another, although you can try asking them to reduce the rate.

If you're unlikely to have too many options as a result of having a default on your credit file, you might want to focus on clearing an overdraft before a credit card, since they're repayable on demand?MyLittleHonda50 wrote: »apart from my overdraft and student loan it is my only debt0
