Removing a false arrears mark from my credit history

It's somewhat of a convoluted story but I had the £1500 0% interest overdraft from my Santander student account closed down in September due to a mistake on their part. Now that everything else has been resolved I'm looking to wipe the arrears marks off of my credit rating that were left as a result.
I left the country to go backpacking after finishing university. As I hadn't transferred any money into the account while travelling, Santander sent me a letter reminding me to deposit some money into the account (in August). The letter was delivered to an address on my street which wasn't mine and was swiftly returned to Santander. Santander, thinking I had left my address without informing them (more likely) or refused to pay anything into my account (less likely), cancelled my student overdraft outright. Consequently, I was hit with two penalty charges (£45 and £50) while still abroad.
It turns out that someone at the branch had inputted my address information incorrectly when I had last changed addresses. After calling them and having both the charges removed and the overdraft reinstated, I was left with an arrears mark against my credit score. This alone has dropped my credit score from fair to bad with most credit report agencies.
Can Santander get it changed somehow if I contact them again? If anyone could advise me on how to proceed to get this removed from my credit score, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Cheers.

In short Yes and as they have already removed the charges it should happen automatically.
If this is all very recent and you don't need an immediate update to your credit file then give it another month and see it your file updates itself.
If not just contact them and they should do it0 -
Much appreciated! I'll get in touch with them as I'm looking to make an credit application in the near future.0
