I changed address a couple of years ago and at the time i contacted tax credit and child benifit offices to let them know my new address.
After all this time ive realised ive not contacted HMRC (tax office)
Would this have been done automatically? how can i find out?
Many thanks

It might or it might not have happened. Would you have expected to receive any mail from them in the last two years that you haven't had?
Easiest answer is to ring them up, early morning is the best time.

(I see that there is an online form on that page for change of address which looks like it could do the trick if you don't want to call)0 -
Would this have been done automatically?
No, there is no automatic updating between different departments of HMRC. Telling the tax credit dept won't automatically update your address for national insurance, nor self assessment/PAYE. Each department has to be told separately.
As suggested, you need to phone each relevant department to check that they have your correct address.0
