BT Infinity - getting messed around!!!

Sorry i thought i'd posted back.
Anyway i called them again. I had to call & say i have a line but no master socket. This was still Monday. They had earlier mentioned something about 48hrs so i was thinking we can wrap this up by the end of the week.
No.
The earliest they had was next Monday or Tuesday. Beyond that we're heading in to 2nd, 5th & 6th of January.
I said well since i work, weekdays are no good to me. I've taken holidays from work in part to get this sorted & i've now used them all. Can you not do Saturday's?
No.
Well now we have a problem because i'm paying for a service i'm not getting.
So i've had to ask my mother if she could sit in at the house for the AM or PM (she chose AM) slot which is a 8-1 waiting time. So she's to be there a bit before 8 in case they're smack on time & she's to wait there a bit after 1 if they run a bit late.
A little annoying since the house has nothing in it yet. No TV, nothing. So magazine, radio & her iPad (but without internet connectivity) will be her only company for 6+ hours. I hope they arrive at 8.
The best bit is, it's £130 just for the engineer to come out & then £75 just for the master socket.
So i says to the woman - ok i understand the guys got to run new wire to a new location, but £75 for a small piece of plastic? Are you for real? It probably costs them about £5 to make these bloody things.
"I understand this is a lot of money sir, what would you like to do".
Well since i have 2 options - pay for a master socket or go without, i have little choice don't i.

Hmm got an email from them now saying my 1st bill is ready. Great, charged for something i don't yet have access to.
Would you get in touch & request billing from the date it becomes available or would you not bother?0 -

The bill is only meant from the date everything is up and running, if they are trying to charge you for no service they are going against their own policy, find out what that bill is for before you pay it.Owed out = lots. :cool:0 -
If you have a Twitter account, you can contact @BTCare. I upgraded to BT Infinity on 9 November. The installation was 'ok' with the engineer re-routing the master socket.
My issue was (and still is) with speeds dropping significantly during busy times. We should be getting anywhere between 20 - 28 Mbps but at times we are down to 1 Mbps.
I tweeted to @BTCare and there is a case worker trying to liaise between BT Wholesale, Retail and BT Operations. No departments seem to be able to communicate directly as BT were told to split their businesses up due to competition rules (Labout govt).0
