Err...the USA and their Social Security number? OK, quoting your SSID won't get you served a drink in a bar if they think you're under 21; but for the sorts of financial transactions this board deals with, it's mandatory.
They'd also have it mandatory for the rest of the world too, as anyone who deals with FATCA-related bureaucracy can testify...0 -

On the whole people with issues tend to have experienced other issues as well. The vast majority of the population never have a need to refer to their credit history.0 -
