What is your pet getting for Christmas?

Our cat is having a new scratching post as he's destroyed the last one, plus some treats. Also a new santa on a string - his favourite toy from last christmas, he's still playing with it now but it really is on its last legs.

I know my mum has got him some new toys. Last year she got him a whole stocking full of gifts :)

I'll set up his new post on Christmas eve so it's there on Christmas morning when he's allowed back in the living room (he doesn't go in there at night). I'm excited about it already :rotfl:.

I've got my little dog a beautiful hand made bespoke length leather slip lead with brass ring for the day itself (Osborn's of Warwick in case anyone is interested - I have no interest in or relationship with this company, but they make lovely items). This lead is to replace one lost on a walk a few months ago.

Earlier this month, I ordered the most beautiful "Christmas dress" for her from ebay - hand sewn by a lady with around 50 years' experience as a machinist. The bodice is black with embroidered christmas trees in red and green; the "skirt" is red net over black net with the same embroidery.

She wore it to the carol evening in the village when the tree is lit for the first time and all the children loved it!

(She is a former Hearing Dog trainee and Pets As Therapy dog, so she is absolutely fine with wearing any type of coat and not at all stressed.)

  • I won't buy the cat any presents but he will be more than welcome to sit in the cardboard boxes and chew on the packaging from our own presents!

Some turkey if he's lucky. Had kitty a month and may have gone overboard buying him stuff already. :D Think our parents may have bought him things though...
