Thanks. Is that possible? I thought with a combi-boiler, it has to be on all the time as water heating is on demand. Can you control the central heating part of it with a timer?
Yes, of course!
There should be a timer (or programmable thermostat *), TRVs on all the radiators other than one, and possibly a thermostat (* not if this is fitted) to give boiler interlock.
The hot water is totally separate and always works on demand.0 -
I'm sure that the several smart heating controls that are out there are similar but as a hive it's my only experience and as a user Id say it would suit your needs.
Controllable wherever there is internet available, even from outwith the country allowing the house temp to be monitored and set remotely, Notifications can be set so you're alerted when a chosen temp is reached and its easy to create schedules.
There's Hive and Nest that I know of. Probably a few others out there that I haven't heard of yet0
