Transformer for Christmas lights

We have a set of lights which no longer work because of the transformer. According to the sticker on the lights, the input is 230-240v 50Hz, and the output is 24v AC 6Va. I've looked on ebay, but a lot don't have the correct output, and they plug into whatever they are to be used on. These lights actually plug into the transformer. Can anyone advice where I could buy one. Don't want to go out and buy new lights if I can help it.

For the cost of a new one (and the risk associated with buying cheap Chinese rubbish that hasn't even got a genuine CE mark), you'd be better off getting yourself down to somewhere like B&M and getting a new LED set for a tenner.

In your shoes, I wouldn't even try to fix it unless i'd got a good quality 24v supply somewhere in my box of old power supplies.

    +1 for suggestion above.

Plus how do you know the transformer is faulty? Plus how do you know the lights survived whatever fault it suffered? With AC output these will be filament bulbs and they are more likely to have failed than the transformer which will be just that with no other components to go wrong.
